At Mountainview Residence, you will receive individualized support from our trusted healthcare professionals, who always act on your behalf. When a need arises, we communicate with families, physicians, Ontario Health at Home, and hospital staff.
Our nurses and personal support workers have extensive experience providing care for seniors with multiple forms of dementia, including Alzheimer's, as well as dementia-related illnesses such as Parkinson's.
Our Basic Care package includes a 24-hour emergency response system, twice-weekly showering assistance, medication administration, blood tests, weight and blood pressure monitoring, coordination with doctors, oxygen therapy, daily housekeeping, and weekly personal laundry.

Our goal is to provide specific, focused attention towards the physical, intellectual, emotional, capability, environmental, and social wellbeing of our residents.
- 24/7 nursing staff trained to supervise residents, using the Gentle Persuasive Approach techniques adapted from the PIECES program
- A minimum 2:12 staff-to-resident ratio in Maple Lane, and 3:17 in both Spruce Lane and Willow Lane
- 7 days/week Life Enrichment staff, trained to incorporate individual- and group- structured activities, like music therapy and reminiscent therapy
- A multi-sensory room providing individualized calming sensations through sight, sound, and touch (Maple Lane only)
- Frequent interactions with residents in order to provide a safe, relaxed, and dignified atmosphere, in which residents are accepted as they are in the moment
- Individualized care plans
- Supervised outdoor walks to enjoy the scenic property (weather permitting)
- Activity centres/stations providing individualized activities of interest (Maple Lane only)
- Emergency response
- Shower assistance (up to 15 minutes each, twice weekly)
- Daily living assistance (up to 15 minutes/day)
- Special dietary needs accommodated when possible (not gluten free)
- Oxygen therapy supervision
- Monthly weight and blood pressure monitoring
- Annual flu shot clinic (flu shots are mandatory)
- Daily interactions with residents to monitor general wellbeing and meal attendance
- Wound care and dressing (Health and Community Support)
Medical Treatment & Supervision
Our nursing staff administers all medications and injectables.
Medications are ordered and packaged in a manner consistent with the facility, with RHRA-approved guidelines for safe administration.
*Please note that associated pharmacy costs/dressing supplies are incurred by the resident/responsible parties.
Additional Services:
If enhanced care service is needed or wanted, available options will be discussed with the Administrator and the Health Services Manager.
