Health Services Information for our Retirement Living Home

"Family Caring" is our motto.

Mountainview Residence offers private accommodations to seniors who are cognitively healthy and self-sufficient, but have decided they no longer want to manage a home. The facility provides every support needed for seniors to maintain or enhance their independent lifestyle, with the assurance and accessibility of individual attention from our healthcare professionals.

Professional staff are on site 24 hours a day, ready for any potential emergency. Mountainview Residence staff provide monthly weight and blood-pressure monitoring. When the need arises, we also liaise with families, physicians, Ontario Health at Home, and hospital staff.

Our nurses and Personal Support Workers have extensive experience working with seniors who have illnesses like Parkinson's, diabetes, heart problems, arthritis, cancer, and osteoporosis.

The Residence building includes meals, housekeeping, medication administration, and personal laundry, among others.

If care needs change, personalized packages are offered when possible.

Medications & Medication Administration

If a resident is fully compliant with medication instructions and wishes to administer their own medications, assistance and supervision are provided regarding proper ordering* and administration.

Our nursing staff administers all medications, including Insulin and injectables. Medication will be ordered and packaged in accordance with facility guidelines* for safe administration, as approved by the RHRA.

If enhanced care services are needed or desired, available options will be discussed with the Administrator and the Health Services Manager.

*Please Note: Associated pharmacy cost/cost of supplies are the responsibility of the resident / responsible party
